Walking In the Plans of God

Walking In the Plans of God

I was reading back today to one of my first blog posts, the one called Deeper Still. I was surprised that I had written in that post about a dream. I had forgotten I wrote about it. (Which is not that surprising if you know me.) In the dream, I was on a wooden boat on which God had planned a trip for me. He had packed my bags, cleared my schedule, and was just as excited for the trip as I was! I had the dream on the night of September 16, 2016, and after waking from that dream, I wrote the song “Drink From the Well”.

It is February 2018 as I write this now and I just returned from a trip to Israel! I did none of the planning, it was organized by a dear friend who invited me to join the team of intercessors and pastors who were coming. All I had to do was send the money and get on the plane. While I was there, I took a trip on a beautiful, wooden boat in the Sea of Galilee! I remembered the dream as I climbed aboard, realizing that I was on the trip He told me about a year and half before! But, I had forgotten that it was that dream that inspired the song until just now when I reread the blog post. My Father loves to be infinitely bigger than I can imagine! He loves to blow my mind!

I had always thought that song was for the deliverance class that I am involved in called Living Waters. I have shared it there many times and saw much fruit. People are touched and blessed whenever I share it…but again God had more!

Also, while on the trip, we met with a local Messianic pastor and his wife who lived in the Jewish city of Sderot, on the border of Gaza. That’s right. I said on the border of Gaza. They had lived through bombs, and rockets sent in the middle of the night, and all kinds of other things I could not imagine. They told stories of sometimes not having time to reach the bomb shelter (built into their house!) when the alarms went off. All they could do was get to their children, cover them with their own bodies and pray. Earlier in the week, one of the pastors on our team felt that part of why we had all been sent there was to dig spiritual wells wherever we went. He knew, as we met with the pastor in Sderot, that the pastor was one of the wells. We prayed for him, blessings and encouragement for him and his congregation, and the Lord led me to sing “Drink From the Well” over him.

I had no idea until just now, that the dream of the boat, and the song were a prophetic message for what was to come. I could never have imagined that I would be standing on the ground of the Holy Land, and would release that song there, that the Lord would use it to encourage a man who had been drinking from the Well and helping others to do the same. Gaza is a desert place, in more ways than one, and Daddy had sent me to bring water in this dry place.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord, “plans to prosper you and to not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11)

Beloved, be encouraged. He knows the plans He has for you and you are walking in those plans, whether you realize it or not. Our God is faithful!!
